To join United Service Credit Union, you are required to have a Basic Share account*. The par value of one share ownership is $25.00.
*All share APY’s (Annual Percentage Yield) are current as of January 1, 2012 and are subject to change. Fees could reduce earnings on these accounts and the credit union may impose an early withdrawal penalty.
A Visa debit card is the perfect complement to your Share Draft (checking) account.
When you use your Visa debit card, ask to pay by pressing “CREDIT”. Your transaction will be deducted from your Share Draft account as if you wrote a check (takes a day or two to be withdrawn from your account). When using your card as “CREDIT”, you have access to the balance in your Share Draft account.
When you use your Visa debit card at an ATM machine, you will need to enter your PIN number and can choose whether you want the funds to come from savings or checking. When entering a PIN number, you only have access to $200.00 within a 24-hour period.
If your Visa debit card should ever get lost or stolen, please call 800-234-5354 immediately. We’ll cancel the card and reissue a new one.
Join our “A” Team. Here at United Service Credit Union we try and encourage savings among our Youth and also promote good grades. For each report card received, every “A” (or equivalent) is worth $1.00, up to $5.00 per grading period. All that’s required is that the parent or guardian match his/her Youths deposit.
EXAMPLE – 5 “A”s on report card. You deposit $5.00, We deposit $5.00. It’s that simple.
An Individual Retirement Account is an excellent tool for retirement savings. Unlike most investments, depending on the type of IRA you choose, contributions may be tax deductible and will grow either tax-deferred or tax-free.
Please consult with your tax advisor to see which type of IRA best fits your retirement goals.
